Get a Warhammer Online widget like this one for your Facebook, Myspace, or other Website, showing Friend and Foe alike how you fare in the Age of Reckoning.
This widget uses the Warhammer Character API published by gamerDNA, displaying Character Name, Class, Guild and Server; as well as an updated tally of Rank and Renown. The percentage of Rank or Renown earned to reach the next level is displayed as a progress bar around the rim of the shield. It will update automatically every 24 hours, leaving plenty of time free for more Stuntie Smashin'!
How to get one
First, sign up at www.gamerdna.com (adding HeathenStorm to your friends list while you're at it!)
Then, go to http://www.gamerdna.com/war_char.php and enter your Warhammer character details. This will enable gamerDNA to track progress from your region's corresponding Realm War site.
Once registered, your customized Warhammer Shield will be available at:
http://api.heathenstorm.com/avatars/war/[Region]/[Server]/[Character]/gdwarshield.png
Where:
[Region] is either EU or US
[Server] is your server name, with words separated by '-'
[Character] is your character's main name, no surname.
e.g.

Adding an <IMG src=".."> tag to your website will display the Shield in all its glory. So:

Tech / Legal Stuff
This is a genuine beta, not a Google Beta, so bear that in mind if things don't work or the API has to change suddenly!
For the first release, the Shield size is set to 200 pixels wide by 160 pixels high. If there is demand for other sizes, then more will be made available.
If the character is not found on gamerDNA's servers, a 404 Status Code is returned with an appropriate Description.
This service is not officially endorsed by gamerDNA, but uses data provided via the gamerDNA Helix API. All calls to the gamerDNA API are cached for 24 hours.
I'm currently using my own API Key to grab the data from gamerDNA. If this proves to be a problem with the guys at gamerDNA then it can be changed.
Shield graphics are taken from the Warhammer Online European Fan Site Kit. No alteration has been made to the original graphics, other than the overlaying of publically accessible statistic information. No official connection with Mythic Entertainment, EA or GOA is stated or implied.
